The west wind brought coolness to Cyprus. Comfortable for mid-summer weather will last until Sunday, July 21. The exception is the environment when the air temperature is slightly above normal. Night and Monday morning showers rained down on the west coast of Cyprus. Afternoon rains are expected in Larnaca, Ayia Napa and Troodos.
On July 15, the air warms up to + 35 in inland areas, up to +30 – in the western part of the island, up to +32 – on the southern and eastern coast, and up to +27 – in the mountains. After lunch, winds are expected to increase in Limassol and Larnaca. At night, the temperature drops to +22 in inland areas and on the coast, and to +16 in Troodos. Discomfort will deliver only an increased level of humidity near the sea (50-70%).
On Tuesday, July 16, and Wednesday, July 17, Cypriot weather forecasters promise partly cloudy and short rains in the interior of the island. On Wednesday, the air temperature will rise by 2-3 degrees, and on Thursday, July 18, it will again fall to the seasonal norm. A new wave of heat is expected early next week. Next Monday, July 22, meteorologists promise in Nicosia to +40.
